When you are in L.A. you need to watch your back - you never know when chance is going to grab you from behind. Tawny Roberts knows. One evening in 2001 she went to the Key Club - a trendy, upscale place on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood - for a nice, quiet night on the town. There she encountered Dayton Raines and Jill Kelly and the next thing she knows, she's a porn star. Dayton took her to Las Vegas and got her started as a stripper. The two of them did a layout for Hustler Magazine. Jill put her in a video and later introduced her to Jim South at World Modeling. She made about two dozen appearances before the end of December when she was offered an exclusive two-year contract with the biggest adult studio there is. Instant stardom. Not bad for a debutante enjoying her first year. Now that Tawny Roberts is a contract girl her output has dropped considerably, damn it. For the time being fans must console themselves with a very limited library of just over forty titles as they wait for her next. We are fortunate that two of the forty are from Video Team: "United Colors of Ass 9" and "No Man's Land 35."
