Raylene

Raylene Sometimes it's remarkable the roll chance takes in people's lives. Porn star Raylene's, for instance. She had been an exotic dancer for a year when she was introduced to Shane at a party she was hosting in 1997. Shane liked what she saw. Raylene made 50 videos, that first year including a trio of "Shane's World" videos and three "Up and Cummers." Funny thing about videos, they get passed around. Shane was not the only one who liked what she saw, Raylene was the talk of the town. Raylene had been getting lots of exposure, no pun intended, fans loved her and producers were reacting by offering better and better scenes. Check out hers in VCA's "Cafe Flesh 2" - AVN and Adam Film World do not offer five star reviews lightly. It was only a matter of time before a major studio would offer her a major contract. Vivid got to her first, early in 1998. They got their money's worth; fully 58 of her 163 titles are Vivid Video releases. None of which can compare, of course, to her appearances in "No Man's Land 19." In 1999 the XRCO recognized her as their "Best New Starlet." Raylene retired in November of 2001 to return to feature dancing but first indulged in a stopover in the recording studio. Seems that she and Daisy Chain had formed a rock band in February of that year. Pornstar Raylene sang and wrote the majority of the lyrics while Daisy arranged and played rhythm guitar. They were going to be "The Holy Order of..." something but the group did not survive long enough to finalize their name. They did keep it together long enough to cut a track or two with Courtney Love. Speaking of rock 'n roll, Raylene shared the stage with Kobe Tai at the 42nd Grammy Awards presentation when they danced together as part of Kid Rock's segment. Jenna Jameson was scheduled to appear with them but Grammy management found out and nixed it. Jenna was not pleased. Hell, neither were we.
